  • Overview

    The FSV ISFSI Manager is responsible for the day-to-day ISFSI operations and maintenance, including nuclear and industrial safety; physical work and maintenance; and the planning, scheduling and documentation of all work at the FSV ISFSI Facility.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing FSV activities to ensure that all site work is planned, authorized, and completed by appropriately trained and qualified personnel working in accordance with approved instructions and procedures.
    • Ensuring all site work is in compliance with FSV License requirements and consistent with all NRC and DOE commitments.
    • Performing administrative reviews and ensuring completion and correctness of work activity documents for final closure and record retention.
    • Functioning as the contract manager for contractors at the FSV ISFSI.
    • Managing all required safety, environmental, radiological, and quality program activities on site.
    • Controlling portable Measuring and Testing Equipment.
    • Providing site document control, including transmittal of records to storage, and other administrative functions.
    • Managing all personnel performing work on the FSV site including site assigned personnel, personnel matrixed to perform work on site that may be periodically sent for ISFSI support, and contract personnel performing work on site.
    • Maintaining the Operations log used to note the performance of all significant on site activities and conditions not included in the Alarm Station log.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    SAETY RESPONSIBILTIES:

    • Responsible for the day-to-day ISFSI operations, including nuclear and industrial safety. Keep work area in order and free of hazards. Perform work within the controls identified and stop work when an unsafe work condition exists. Participate in safety programs and initiatives. Report all injuries. Participate in work planning so that hazards are identified and appropriate corrective actions are taken.

    Qualifications

    The FSV ISFSI Manager shall have a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in an engineering or physical science field and five year supervisory experience in nuclear facility operations. The requirement for a degree may be replaced with an additional five years experience.

     

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” Clearance.
