Overview

Provide technical direction for the development of regulatory documents that will meet the requirements of the DFF&O and Consent Decree to complete Decontamination and Decommissioning and environmental remediation activities at the US DOE Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, Ohio

Responsibilities

Conduct scientific investigations, evaluations, and analyses for regulatory compliance and environmental requirements to support the evaluation of proposed alternatives for D&D and ER activities as required by the DFF&O and Consent Decree.

Conduct scientific investigations, evaluations, and analyses for regulatory compliance and environmental requirements to support the development of the CERCLA decision documents, including the Remedial Design and Remedial Action Work Plans, Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, technical memorandums, and other supporting documents.

Conduct scientific investigations, evaluations, and analyses for regulatory compliance and environmental requirements to support the development of the RCRA decision documents, including RCRA Facility Investigations/Corrective Measures Studies, Soil Background Studies, risk assessments, and other supporting documents.

Qualifications

Scientist II is required to have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience.
